Summary

LockCalculator.com collects as little personal data as possible. Calculator inputs stay in the visitor’s browser and are sent to the site’s own calculation service only to produce a result; they are not stored, profiled, or sold. Personal data is handled only where the visitor chooses to share it: problem-feedback reports and PDF delivery by email.

Calculator inputs

Numbers and selections entered into a calculator (dimensions, counts, prices, equipment choices) are transmitted to this site’s calculation endpoint to compute outputs and substituted formulas. Inputs are processed in memory to answer the request and are not written to the site database, not used for advertising, and not shared with third parties. Calculation requests carry a tamper-evident token that binds inputs to the published calculator version; the token contains no personal data.

Problem-feedback reports

When a visitor reports a problem with a calculation, the report includes the selected problem type, the message written, and the calculator inputs needed to reproduce the result. Reports are used only to investigate and fix calculations. Do not include lock codes, key-bitting photos, addresses, or account details; screening tools cannot keep project secrets, and anything sent cannot be unsent.

PDF delivery by email

Requesting a calculation PDF by email requires an address. The address is used once to deliver the file and, only with explicit opt-in, to send occasional tool updates after email verification. Addresses are never sold or shared. Every update email carries an unsubscribe link that stops further mail.

Server logs

The hosting server keeps routine operational logs (request time, requested URL, coarse network identifiers) for security and reliability. Logs rotate automatically and are not combined with calculator inputs or feedback reports.

Cookies and local storage

The site uses strictly necessary storage only: WordPress session and preference cookies for visitors who interact with forms, and browser local storage used by calculator tools to remember inputs on the visitor’s own device. No advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, and no third-party analytics beacons are loaded by this theme. If embedded content or a future feature introduces additional storage, this policy will be updated before it ships.

Children

Calculator tools are written for adult homeowners and property managers. The site does not knowingly collect data from children under 13, and feedback forms must not be used to submit information about children.

Visitor rights

A visitor may request a copy of any feedback report or PDF-request record tied to their email address, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and withdraw update-mail consent at any time via the unsubscribe link. Because calculator inputs are not stored, there is nothing to export or delete for anonymous calculation use. Requests are answered within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

Material changes will be noted here with a revision date. Continued use of the site after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
