Screening tools, not professional advice
Calculators on LockCalculator.com help homeowners and property managers screen common residential lock decisions: fit, compatibility, rekeying, keying plans, battery life, budgets, and hardening priorities. They are not locksmith advice, security assessments, code determinations, or appraisals. Always verify manufacturer instructions, fire-egress requirements, and the locally adopted code before acting on a result.
No hardware sales, no locksmith dispatch, no paid placement
This site does not sell locks, does not send locksmiths, and does not accept payment to recommend products or services. Model names appear as neutral compatibility references so visitors can match preparation to hardware; nothing on a results panel is a paid endorsement. Prices entered or shown as starting points are user estimates or labeled defaults, not live market data and not quotes.
Estimates carry stated assumptions
Battery intervals are ranges derived from stated duty, protocol, climate, and chemistry assumptions; temperature, connectivity, usage, and the lock model move real results. Budget figures exclude taxes, trip fees, emergency surcharges, and finish or prep surprises unless entered. Security scores rank hardening priorities; they do not certify break-in resistance and do not rate any product.
Cluster mailboxes and managed buildings
USPS-controlled cluster boxes and most apartment panels are serviced through the postal service or the building manager, not through retail parts. The mailbox checker exists mainly to route those cases to the right process before money is spent.
Feedback data
Problem reports and PDF requests are used to fix calculations and deliver files, as described in the privacy policy. Do not submit lock codes, addresses, or other confidential project details through site forms.
